Monona Grove are the 5th-6th grade champions at the 2023 Lakefront 7s. The title is their second at the event with the 7rh-9th grade team also taking home the trophy.
Monona Grove 2 were undefeated in pool play with a 3-0-0 record and 1st seed overall. In the semi-final, they defeated Green Bay 4 with a score of 5 tries to 3.
The “all pool A” final paired Monona Grove with second-seeded Menomonee Falls 3. Like the pool-stage match, the final was a tight affair. But as before, Monona Grove edged the Falls by a single try: final score 5 tries to 4.
