Today the Midwest Rugby Union released details about the upcoming Midwest 7s series.
We at the Lakefront 7s are excited to discover that — for the first time in many years — the schedule does not conflict with the 2024 Lakefront 7s in Milwaukee on June 22nd!
What is the Midwest 7s series?
The series is a set of rugby tournaments coordinated by the Midwest Rugby Union.
The series attracts the top teams in the region. Additionally, it usually determines the teams that will represent the Midwest in the 7s National Club Championships.
This year, Cottage Grove, WI hosts the 7s National Club Championships (see also: the full Wisconsin summer rugby tournament schedule).
You are invited!
As you can see below, 6/22 is a gap in the series schedule. This is the exact date of our own sevens tournament!
As such, we invite teams to come to Milwaukee for the 41st annual Lakefront 7s. It’s a great opportunity to keep your team fresh, or to bolster the experience of the players who are looking to crack your starting roster.
You’ll roll into the crossover event on 6/29 well-prepared for both the Midwest teams and the other teams from across the country expected at this “open” tournament.

- 7/27/2024 – Midwest 7s Championship in Elkhart, IN (All)
