Summer without rugby would be like a scrum without a hooker; no fun and totally useless! Thankfully, the 2024 Wisconsin summer rugby tournament schedule is going to be another one for the books as it begins to heat up with games starting in mid-May to the end of August, including a lot of action in June!

June is 7s heaven
This summer rugby tournaments in Wisconsin start with Tequila 10s on May 18th and end with the National Club Championship on August 10th to the 11th. It’s going to be a busy summer!
The 7s season kicks off again Lionhunter 7s on June 15th. Compared to last year, Lakefront 7s has moved up a weekend to June 22nd, and Harborfest has switched to a month earlier, now taking place on June 29th, 2024 compared to the end of July.
That means all three 7s tournaments in 2024 (see dates below) are packed into three weeks of June!
Not much change can be seen in the formatting of the tournaments set to take place this 2024 season, so you can be prepared to play in tournaments with the same structure as last season.
Rugby 10s, always a fan favorite
Wisconsin has a long history of 10-a-side rugby, with Pigfest 10s in Oshkosh and Memorial 10s in Cottage Grove perhaps being the most recognized due to their long histories.
But the Tequila 10s is returning for its second year, and interest on social media appears to be high. This may be in part to the event kicking off the “summer” season in May.
National Club Championships!
Once you’ve gotten your fill of playing 7s and 10s this summer, sit back and enjoy the National Club 7s Championship as a spectator at the gorgeous facility in Cottage Grove.
This is the first time the club championships have been held in Wisconsin, and you’ll get to see the top teams from the country up close and personal.

The 2024 Wisconsin summer rugby tournaments showcase some of the best rugby of the year. Harborfest switching to late June now allows for the 7s tournaments to be complete by the end of the month.
The months of July and August will provide some action in the 10s tournaments, as they both have one tournament each.
This season is likely to be just as memorable as the last. With the conclusion of the National Club 7s Championship in early August to leave us with a fulfilled rugby season.
