Every year the Lakefront 7s hosts a food drive to support the Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee. Since 2017 we have donated 3350 lbs of food to the program. The goal of the 2022 food drive is to break 4000 lbs.
If you would like to participate in the food drive, collection boxes will be available on-site throughout the Lakefront 7s to collect your non-perishable items. The list of acceptable items can be found here.
Donations from players and other participants at the Lakefront 7s will be combined with those from our corporate participants. The following companies placed a collection box at their place of business and we thank them greatly for their generosity.
- Andis Company — Innovative hair tools crafted to amplify creativity
- Avire — Emergency communication solutions for buildings
- Herzing University — Online & On-Campus College Degrees
- Houseworks Collective — Real estate agents
- Milwaukee Tool — Innovative tools and productivity solutions
If your company would like to participate next year, just drop us a note and we’ll take care of the rest.
How to park for free
If you prefer to pay for parking, the Lakefront 7s is happy to accomodate you. The cost is $7 per car.
But if you’d like to park for free and do a good deed at the same time, you can raid your pantry instead.
Just bring 48oz of unopened peanut butter per car. The volunteers at the parking area will accept the peanut butter in lieu of cash and add it to our food drive!
Be like Santa .. and Booshie!
Santa is, of course, very generous and we encourage you to follow his example by joining the 2022 food drive.
We’d also like to recognize one of our sponsors — Booshie Promo — for generously donating the artwork above. Not only does it help promote the food drive, but it emphasizes the 2022 “Christmas in June” theme.
Be sure to check out the themed apparel the Booshie prepared for this years event.
