Rugby tournament donates shirts and jerseys to state championship

The Milwaukee Rugby Sevens Association is proud to announce that they have donated shirts and a few jerseys to the upcoming Wisconsin Boys High School State Championships.

The Championship will be held on Saturday, May 30th at Schneider Fields at St. Norbert University in De Pere, Wisconsin. The event features 30 teams from both the Badgerland and NEW conferences with both Division 1 and Division 2 matches.

All donated shirts and jerseys will be used in a T-shirt toss during the downtime between matches.

“We are thrilled to help out any event that promotes rugby, and the Wisconsin State Championship is an excellent partner in this effort.” said Victor Drover, director of the Lakefront 7s Tournament. “A successful future for rugby depends on kids of all ages getting excited about the game, and every year the State Championship makes that happen for the youth in our great state.”

The State Championship is still accepting shirts from rugby teams and clubs across Wisconsin at all age levels. Interested parties should send their shirts directly to the address below with all items arriving before 3PM on Friday, May29th, 2015.
