The pools have been set for the Women’s Open bracket at the 2019 Lakefront 7s (see above). As with the High School Girls bracket, 8 teams will advance from pool play to either the Cup or Plate Championship.
The winner of each pool will advance to the Cup Championship. The runner-up in each pool will advance to the Plate Championship. As always, matches in the championship stage are single elimination.
Originally, Women’s Social and Women’s Competitive would have been two distinct brackets. The new hybrid format was added due to the low number of teams entering on the Competitive side. By advancing teams to both Cup and Plate Championships we were able to keep the number of playoff opportunities the same while providing a broader variety of opponents for all.
The Women’s open bracket is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM. Teams should submit their waivers at the check-in table by 7:00 AM.
