26th annual Lakefront 7s ends early due to extreme weather

Thank you for participating in the thunderstorm abbreviated 26th Annual Lakefront 7s Tournament. While we’ve always had great weather for our tournaments in the past, we should have expected a problem given the record-breaking rain and floods this June in Wisconsin. We also lost most of our digital photos due to lack of backups. Fortunately we were able to finish most of the round robin matches and we’ve provided some bracket rankings below.

Let’s hope for another 25 years of good tournament weather before the next storm.

The 27th Annual Lakefront 7s tournament will likely be held on June 27th, 2009, so mark your calendars accordingly. We turned away over 15 teams this year, so please register early if you plan to attend. Early registration is always less expensive and late registrations will cost more next year. We will also provide full refunds if you cancel 2 weeks before the tournament so there is no penalty for registering your teams early. We plan to confirm the date, post registration information, and send out a reminder as soon as this fall.
