Kick-off the largest rugby weekend this summer with charity golf

Today we are proud to announce the inaugural Papa Joe Golf Outing!

This first event will be held on June 26, 2015 at the Silver Spring Country Club in Menomonee Falls, WI. It celebrates the life and accomplishments of one of the most influential people in the history of rugby in Wisconsin: 'Papa' Joe Kloiber.

Joe is responsible for or involved in many of the recognizable teams in the greater Milwaukee area — including the Barbarians, the West Side Harlequins, and the Marquette University High School boys team — as well as founding the Lakefront 7s in 1982.

In 2012, Joe was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but still travels around the country attending rugby matches and charity events.

How to contribute

All proceeds from the Papa Joe Golf Outing will benefit the Wisconsin Parkinson Foundation and Wisconsin Rugby Football Union, and there are two ways to contribute.

First, you can attend the event. Tickets for golfers are $100 per person or $375 for a foursome.

Secondly, sponsors can get involved for as little as $250 with a Silver plan. Gold and Platinum plans have more benefits including ads in the Lakefront 7s program and free green fees (Platinum only).

Full details on how to attend the event or purchase sponsorships can be found on the official event page.
