The Milwaukee Rugby Sevens Association is proud to annouce that we are partnering with the Hunger Task Force and to hold a food drive during this year's event.

The Lakefront 7s is pleased to announce the TENTATIVE 2016 schedule for sevens and flag rugby.
In addition to the printed schedules below, check out the interactive map above of the teams in the rugby sevens event. Click a location marker for team details, and use th filtering tools at the bottom to limit the teams displayed to specific brackets.
Teams must check in at the registration table one our before their first match. Any team that fails to check in on time will forfeit their first match.
Everyone participating in rugby sevens must complete a waiver (Name, signature, CIPP #) before taking the field. Waiver forms can be downloaded here, or completed at the registration table during check-in.
The Lakefront 7s is all about safety first, fun second. Be sure to familiarize you and your team with the event rules.
The Milwaukee Rugby Sevens Association is pleased to announce that three changes/clarifications are being made to our tournament rules.
The first change relates to the roster size which has been expanded from 12 to 16 for all matches except those in a USA Rugby Qualifier bracket. This change addresses the fact that in the past, teams have fielded players not listed on their event waiver. In addition, this adds some flexibility in our 1-day format that can see teams playing up to 5 matches.
Regardless of the bracket being played, the active roster for any one match remains capped at 12 players, and players may not move between teams nor brackets.
The second change relates to substitutions. As of June 18, 2016 and following World Rugby Sevens Law Variation 3.4, a team may substitute the same player more than once as long as no more than 5 substitutions are made in total in any one game.
This variation was approved by the USA Rugby Committee as reported by USA Rugby Law sub-committee Chairman Peter Watson.
With the 2016 Lakefront 7s Rugby Tournament less than 3 weeks away, organizers are in final preparations.
To help finalize brackets and prepare the match schedule for the day, registration for all brackets will close on Tuesday, June 28th at 11PM local Milwaukee time.
At time of this writing, the Men's and Women's Open/Social brackets are full. If you would like to be considered if a spot opens up in these brackets, please purchase a refundable WAITING LIST ticket. Each four teams that sign up on the waiting list means we can expand the bracket.
For most of the United States, the first weekend of June marks the unofficial start of the summer rugby sevens season.
Around the country, clubs are recruiting players and sevens tournaments are preparing to host their events.
And with the Rio Olympics fast approaching — featuring rugby sevens for the first time in history — 2016 is shaping up to be an epic summer of rugby.
But whether or not you and your team have a fun and successful summer of rugby depends on many factors that are well within your control.
In fact, avoiding just a few rookie mistakes like those outlined below will maximize your teams chance at having a great summer sevens season.
Congratulations to all of our Champions on a fantastic day of rugby. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
